Cyndi Lauper’s farewell tour is set to visit the UK and Europe early next year.

Produced by Live Nation, the singer’s colossal Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour will hit UK shores next February, marking Lauper’s first major run in a decade, before heading over to mainland Europe.

This announcement follows the release of Let The Canary Sing, a feature-length documentary film that explores her extraordinary life and career.

Directed by the Emmy Award-winning documentarian Alison Ellwood, the film premiered exclusively on Paramount+ in the US and Canada on 4 June and chronicles her meteoric ascent to stardom and Lauper’s profound impact on generations through her music, ever-evolving punk style, unwavering feminism and tireless advocacy.

Legacy Recordings, the catalogue division of Sony Music Entertainment, has released a companion, career-spanning, LP. The album is available now on vinyl and as a digital expanded edition here

Iconic Singer

Her iconic voice, influential punk glamour and infectious live shows catapulted the artist to superstardom in the 1980s.  With her debut album, She’s So Unusual, she became the first woman in history to have four Top 5 singles from a debut album.

Lauper has released 10 additional studio albums, and classic hits such as Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Time After Time and True Colors saw her inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

In 2013, she became the first solo woman to win Best Original Score (music and lyrics) for Kinky Boots.
