Oasis Reunion: Following the announcement that Liam and Noel Gallagher were reuniting for a long-awaited run of UK and Ireland shows, Oasis have now extended the domestic leg of their OASIS LIVE ’25 world tour, with three additional shows: one each in Manchester, London and Edinburgh.

The news that the band was playing Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin next summer received phenomenal global interest from fans and media alike and will mark the band’s first live shows in 16 years since the departure of Noel Gallagher.

Oasis commented:
“The guns have fallen silent.
The stars have aligned.
The great wait is over.
Come see.
It will not be televised.”

While plans are underway for OASIS LIVE ’25 to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year, the group said, in a statement on X, that they will not be playing Glastonbury 2025. The statement said: “Despite media speculation, Oasis will not be playing Glastonbury 2025 or any other festivals next year. The only way to see the band perform live will be on their Oasis Live ’25 World Tour.”

Speculation surrounding the reformation of the Manchester band mounted following Liam’s headline performance at Reading Festival on Sunday, where the singer dedicated the Oasis track Half The World Away to Noel.

The announcement comes days before the reissue of Oasis’ debut album Definitely Maybe. The 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, features tracks from the discarded original recording session at Monnow Valley Studios, along with outtakes from the definitive album recorded at Sawmills Studios in Cornwall, newly mixed for the first time by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho.

Familiar To Millions

Formed in 1991, Definitely Maybe became the fastest-selling debut album in British history – and has since reached 17 x Platinum in recognition of 5 million+ domestic sales. All seven of their studio albums went straight to No.1, as did their 2010 compilation Time Flies…

Their catalogue of features eight No.1 singles, from Some Might Say to The Importance of Being Idle, as well as another 15 Top 10 hits.

That huge following translated to the live arena, most famously playing to 125,000 people each night during two shows at Knebworth. Other big moments included two headline sets at Glastonbury in 1995 and 2004; huge homecoming shows at Manchester City’s Maine Road stadium; and a run of Wembley Stadium gigs which were documented in the live album Familiar To Millions.

Tickets for the UK shows will go on general sale at 9am on Saturday 31 August 2024 from www.ticketmaster.co.uk, www.gigsandtours.com and www.seetickets.com.

Dublin general sale tickets will be available an hour earlier, on the same day from www.ticketmaster.ie.
