Robbie Williams to release Better Man soundtrack album

Robbie Williams to release soundtrack album to his new biopic film, Better Man.

The soundtrack announcement comes as fans eagerly await the release of Better Man, which hits cinemas on 26 December. Based on the true story of his life, the film sees Robbie portrayed as a CGI monkey throughout. Directed by Michael Gracey, the movie is uniquely told from the star’s perspective, capturing his signature wit and indomitable spirit.

The film follows his journey from childhood, to being the youngest member of chart-topping boyband Take That, through to his achievements as a record-breaking solo artist – all the while confronting the challenges that stratospheric fame and success can bring.

Monkey Man

In Better Man, Robbie is portrayed as a CGI monkey throughout. Discussing the film, director Michael Gracey honed in on Robbie referring to himself as a monkey over and again. “Robbie would say things like, ‘I’m up the back dancing like a monkey.’ After a while, I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be amazing to represent Robbie as a monkey in the film?’ Because Robbie is telling this story – and that’s how he sees himself.”

Robbie is one of the most decorated music artists in the world with 85 million LP sales worldwide and 14 UK No.1 albums.

In July he returned to BST Hyde Park in London for a critically-acclaimed and sold-out headline show. In November 2023 Netflix released the No.1 documentary series, Robbie Williams. Robbie has raised £106 million to date for charity worldwide since co-founding Soccer Aid for UNICEF in 2006.

The Robbie Williams Better Man soundtrack album is available to pre-order. It will be released digitally on 27 December with physical formats to follow. Pre-order the album here, before 6pm on Tuesday 12 November, to get early access to Robbie’s next UK tour. Details to be announced.
