Robbie Williams - Better Man - Angels

Robbie Williams has released a re-recorded version of Angels, which is featured on the soundtrack of his musical biopic Better Man.

Written by Robbie and collaborator Guy Chambers, Angels originally featured on the former Take That singer’s debut solo album, Life Thru A Lens, in 1997. Released in December that year, it peaked at No.4 but remains his best-selling single. Angels has gone on to become one of his best-loved tracks and the public voted it the best British song of the past 25 years at the 2005 Brit Awards.

Life Thru A Lens

Re-recorded and arranged especially for the movie, the new cinematic version of the global smash hit is featured in a moving part of the film where Robbie says goodbye to a beloved family member.

The film follows his journey from childhood, to being the youngest member of chart-topping boyband Take That, through to his achievements as a record-breaking solo artist – all the while confronting the challenges that stratospheric fame and success can bring.

The artwork for the soundtrack album mirrors the film poster – an homage to Williams’ unforgettable album cover, Life Thru A Lens. The original album cover image was taken by renowned music and portrait photographer, Andy Earl. The film poster and soundtrack artwork sees Williams portrayed as he is seen throughout the entire film – a CGI monkey.

The Better Man (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) album is released digitally via Columbia Records on 27 December with a physical release to follow in three formats: CD, cassette and alt cassette.
