Underworld have announced a huge summer show celebrating the very best of British electronic music. The event also features DJ sets from Simian Mobile Disco, Groove Armada and Hot Chip.

Set in the stunning grounds of Audley End House & Gardens, the Heritage Live Festival event takes place on Sunday 3 August.

Giles Cooper OBE from Heritage Live said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be able to welcome the legendary Underworld to Heritage Live Festivals. It’s been a huge ambition of us all to have them perform… and what a line-up of special guests! This is going to be awesome!”

Born Slippy

Underworld (Rick Smith and Karl Hyde) cemented their place in the ’90s underground techno scene with their peerless first album dubnobasswithmyheadman in 1994. The duo’s breakthrough came in 1995 with the release of  Born Slippy (Nuxx), which featured in the film Trainspotting.

The success of that single catapulted the band from the underground into the heart of the mainstream. The following three decades saw them build on that success while never compromising. In the 30 years since that mould breaking debut, the band have established their reputation as one of the most groundbreaking and important electronic acts of all time.
